Ellen Welter graduated from the University of Iowa’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science Program with a doctor of physical therapy degree in 2010. Ellen’s passion for physical therapy developed at a much earlier age due to her involvement in competitive soccer. Soccer led to several injuries including, an ACL reconstruction, which exposed her to the benefit of excellent manual physical therapy, allowing her to return to playing soccer which she still enjoys today. She continued her journey into the profession of physical therapy by working with a lead physical therapy group in Iowa as an exercise technician, implementing lifting programs designed to prevent injury and helping run a performance enhancement camp.

Ellen has a passion for life long learning and has her manual therapy certificate (COMT) from Maitland Physiotherapy Seminars.  Learn more about Maitland Physical Therapy here.

Ellen enjoys working with individual patients to help them achieve their personal goals during treatment.

Ellen completed a year long certificate program, in 2017, with Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.  With this new set of knowledge Ellen has begun to work with clients to combat lifestyle diseases related to nutrition.
